Prescriptions

Medical grade skin care that is really effective can avoid irritating medicines that you may have often tried without success in the past. Sometimes it is just that you have not been given the correct medical advice on how best to use your product and that by combining medical grade skin care you are then able to stop many of the prescription products.

What can happen if rosacea is not controlled ?

Prolonged rosacea of the skin and inflammation causes the deeper layer of the skin to harden and cause thickening. You may see patients with thickened noses and cheeks and this is due to untreated or poorly treated rosacea. In modern dermatology our aim is to prevent this with effective and early treatment.

Is there a cure ?

Currently there is no cure for Rosacea. Over the last 5 -9 years better creams and topical agents have come out which treat facial flushing much better. The best way to treat rosacea is through combination therapies, lifestyle factors,  maintenance treatment and sunscreens.
